This week I hiked Scafe Hill at Thetis Lake. I had never been here before, so I found it really neat. This hike was much more difficult, in comparison to my previous ones. There were some very steep parts, that were okay going up, but tricky going down, as I did not have the best shoes, so I kept slipping. This hike was also much longer than my previous ones, I forgot my watch again, but it was about an hour and a half. It was only supposed to be a one-hour hike, but we got a little lost and took our time, taking in all the beautiful views. I really enjoyed this hike as it was surrounded by nature and more private than Beacon Hill, for example. However, as it was so secluded, I was a little scared to run into some wildlife, like bears or cougars, but we did not!

Here is a picture of some of what the trail looked like, the steep parts.

Here is a picture of another part of the trail that was hard to get around without getting wet. Some parts of the trail were very wet, but it was not raining so that was good. In fact, at the beginning of the hike, the weather was a little gloomy, but as we went, the sun started to come out, which was beautiful to see in the forest.
