This weekend I went to visit my family in the Comox Valley because they got a new puppy, named Riggs, and I wanted to meet him. I also got to go snowboarding during my quick trip home. While I was at home, I went on a hike with my family and Riggs. This was his first time going on a hike, so we went on an easy trail and only hiked for about 30 minutes. I forgot my watch in Victoria so I was not able to track the hike, but it was short and we took our time. Throughout the hike, there were a few times, where we had to carry Riggs as he would get tired. I have hiked Nymph Falls many times, but most of the time I do so in the summer with my sister, and then we go swimming, so it was very neat to see the trail in the winter. The river that the trail runs along was full of water from the snow melting, so the waterfalls looked cool. This hike is different than my last hike as it is very enclosed by nature and wildlife. My last hike was right downtown, but this one was away from society which I like when hiking, as I can escape all the business and have some quiet time alone in nature. During the hike, I made sure to take a lot of pictures (mostly of Riggs :))

Here is a picture of Riggs’ first time interacting with another dog. He was a bit scared of this other dog, but the other dog was nice and calm, which was great!

Here is a picture of the river!
